Today's post brings together two of my obsessions: monochrome interiors and the Cross Blanket by Swedish designer Pia Wallen. The cross design became iconic with Pia's original woollen Crux Blanket, a signature piece in her range. Similar in style, the Cross blanket is made from soft ecological cotton using traditional Swedish techniques and colours. Simple yet bold, this eye-catching blanket can be used on the bed or sofa and is also available as a baby blanket.

These gorgeous Scandi-styled interiors show how beautifully the blanket works with a monochrome palette. Wood, grey and contrasting black and white graphics look fantastic when added to the mix. I particularly love the black and white cross blanket, but the grey and white is also lovely. For those who love colour, there is a bright orange and white one.
